A week built around snow. Stay in Gulmarg itself so you are on the slopes before the day-trippers arrive. Includes two half-days of instruction for beginners, gondola access to Phase 1 and 2, and a guided snowshoe walk through the Khilanmarg tree line. Best for January and February.

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1 Srinagar airport pick-up, drive to Gulmarg, settle in.
2. Day 2 Ski lessons, Phase 1 gondola, practice slopes.
3. Day 3 Phase 2 gondola to Kongdoori and Apharwat.
4. Day 4 Guided snowshoe walk to Khilanmarg.
5. Day 5 Free day — ski, sledge, or relax.
6. Day 6 Drive to Srinagar, departure.
